Petition · past parliament
A law to be passed that forces all UK retailers to have a “UK produce” filter
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
I wish to make it easier for UK citizens to support UK business by forcing retail in the UK to make it easier for customers to limit their shopping to UK only produce
I believe in a post Brexit economy and in these times of global warming it’s important that we enable consumers to make decisions to support produce that is made in the UK and has travelled the least amount of distance
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The Government is not responsible for how retailers structure their website. This is a matter for individual retailers.
