Open mental health drop in centre's

Rejected 16 signatures

What the petition asks

Open pop up mental health centres that are run by mental health first aid trained individuals, that can give advice and guidance and avoid the year long waiting list.
The national suicide rate is at an all time high and the mental health teams are struggling, this plan would ease the strain and make support more accessible.

It will also help break the stigma around the topic and with covid this year we will have a increase in people seeking mental health support.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

You may wish to sign some of these petitions:

Review and improve support for people with mental health conditions: Review and improve support for people with mental health conditions

Increase funding for crisis and acute mental health services: Increase funding for crisis and acute mental health services

The Government is not directly responsible for the provision of mental health support services, these are a matter for individual NHS trusts and local authorities, but we think the requests made by the above petitions would achieve a similar outcome to what you have requested.
