Declare 25th and 26th June 2021 a bank holiday to celebrate Christmas v2.0
Rejected
19 signatures
What the petition asks
Friday 25th June, Saturday 26th June and Monday 28th June to be declared a bank holiday weekend. This is to ensure as many people as possible are able to have time off work to enjoy a proper Christmas Day, Boxing Day experience at a time which is hopefully safer for all.
Government and Parliamentary support would provide the necessary confidence to the various retail businesses and other industries in the UK to provide the required support to host Christmas Day v2.0. In addition, to make the experience as authentic as possible the time off needs to be recognised by UK Government to ensure everyone has the greatest possible chance to meet up.
