What the petition asks
Currently students and prospective students are not entitled to assistance from Student Finance England (SFE) if they already hold a degree, even if they funded their first degree themselves.
We ask the government to grant SFE eligibility to everyone on a healthcare related third level course.
We ask the government to grant SFE eligibility to everyone on a healthcare related third level course.
Not only has Covid19 highlighted the importance of our NHS, the government also encouraged those in other sectors to retrain. They shouldn't be putting up barriers to prospective professionals who will fill vital roles within our health service in the future by denying them the lifeline of a loan while they retrain.
We ask the government to grant eligibility for assistance from Student Finance England to all those studying health related subjects at third level institutions.
