Allow professional measuring for children’s shoes; it’s an essential service

What the petition asks
Children’s feet need to be measured properly; this should be classed as an essential service and should be allowed to happen in Tier 4.
Children who now live in Tier 4 areas are unable to have their feet measured. This is wrong and needs to be changed as soon as possible. Feet are a vitally important part of physical development and ill-fitting shoes will do much more harm than good. There are other shops allowed to open who provide a less “essential” service. Those children who are just learning to walk will need their first pair of shoes and it cannot be overemphasised how important it is that their first shoes fit correctly.
