Automatic Yearly Pay Rise For NHS Health Care Workers

Closed 48 signatures

What the petition asks

This change will impact on all U.K. citizens, as a retired nurse who worked for the NHS for 40years +, I feel that for years Health Workers have had to beg for a pay rise, whilst politician’s automatically receive their pay rise yearly.
As an emergency service, at some stage in everyone’s life we will need the NHS, so this effects us all.
Health workers are far too busy looking after vulnerable people’s physical and mental health to be considering fighting for a pay rise, so it’s up to us the public to fight for them, knowing that the NHS puts people before money.
NHS workers need to feel valued and paid their worth not a clap on Thursdays, that has now been forgotten.
NHS staff work long hours, many of which are good will, they don’t just down tools at the end of a shift because they care for vulnerable people, so let’s show we care and support our Health care workers with an automatic yearly pay rise.
