Reverse import duties on goods brought from the EU as of January 1 2021

What the petition asks
The government should replicate the same customs arrangements on goods brought from the EU as prior to Brexit. The cap of £270 on some items bought from the EU needs to be lifted and the previous limits should be instituted.
The imposition of customs duties means an increase in needless bureaucracy and red tape which the government is committed to abolish. The amount of customs officials required to police this and the additional paperwork generated is anathema to good government. Frictionless and free trade should apply to individuals not just businesses trading goods.
