Donate surplus Covid-19 vaccine doses to poorer countries

What the petition asks
The UK, like many countries, has ordered more vaccines that we need for the complete vaccination of our people. Any vaccines that are not required by the UK should be donated to poorer counties free of charge.
Covid-19 is a global issue and as such we should be taking a global view of the treatment and prevention. It is morally, ethically and scientifically proper that all people should have access to the vaccine. Stockpiling of the vaccine could lead to countries who have not been able to purchase vaccine ahead of time to have delays and possible non vaccination which will allow the virus to remain in 'hot-spots' where vaccination cannot take place. Giving the extra vaccines away will prevent this.
