What the petition asks
Impose a March style lockdown, with all non essential retail and all schools closed (except for the vulnerable and children of keyworkers) nationally.
The need to prevent further loss of life should supercede all else, school children are bringing the virus home, cases numbers are higher than ever

Allowing a free for all damages the wider community, and is putting strain and near irrepairable harm on the education sector, the NHS and policing.
Schools are aiding in transmission to the community, via infected children bringing the virus home to CV and CEV members of the community.
Without a national lockdown, the new variant will continue to spread, opening us to the death and long term disability of tens of thousands.
