Petition · past parliament
Compel offshore funds to rescue British citizens and businesses.
Rejected

What the petition asks
There are billions of pounds held offshore. It is not fair that the British people should have to endure further austerity or taxation measures when this money is sitting abroad.
Pass an act to a) make these offshore accounts transparent and b) tax them to help fund the British economy's restart package.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. The UK Government is only responsible for taxation on funds held in its jurisdiction.
