What the petition asks

Keep all school children safe close schools and allow children repeat the school year as they have missed so much from March 2020. In Northern Ireland it is approximately 20 weeks. That is not including time that has to be taken of due to self isolation. That’s almost a half of the teaching year

Children are anxious and scared due to COVID. It is all they hear at min shops closed sports closed

Why it was rejected

The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.

Since you started your petition the Government has announced that primary schools, secondary schools and colleges across England must move to remote provision from 5 January 2021, except for vulnerable children and the children of key workers.
