Call for the resignation of Gavin Williamson, Secretary of State for Education

What the petition asks
Call for the current Secretary of State for Education to resign and be replaced by someone who is more competent to make the difficult decisions that need to be made regarding schools and education through this crisis
The Secretary of State's missteps will impact children throughout their lives. He was made multiple mistakes, not followed medical advice. In May, leading paediatricians were calling for staged returns to education but these were ignored. (Hudson, 2020)
Although children aren't as badly impacted by the virus, they are key to transmission. We deserve a minister who cares about the safety of our children and our teachers.
