What the petition asks
On Monday 4th January 2021, Boris Johnson stated the UK will go into another national lockdown. He closed primary and secondary schools, allowing them to only care for those who are key worker parents, children with SEN and vulnerable.
It’s unfair that Early Years should be open for all children
It’s unfair that Early Years should be open for all children
I feel that to require Early Years settings such as nurseries to open for all children is unsafe. It is near on impossible to follow Covid guidelines with younger children, not to mention the spread to Early Years workers and their families.
Once again, we are being forced to do things we don’t feel comfortable doing. We already have limited PPE, funding and support, not to mention the disregard for the sector.
Early Years professionals are also not on the list to be vaccinated along with other frontline staff, putting us and our families at risk.
