What the petition asks
Allow College lecturers and employers to present evidence to the examining body in order to pass apprentices that were / are due to finish an apprentiship during the disruption caused by Covid 19
I am an apprentice on the security and fire systems course. We were due to finish with the end point assessment in June 2020 but due to covid the test centres closed. Finally our assessments were booked for Jan/ Feb 2021, but due to new lockdown, this has been cancelled again. Exams are cancelled again for 2021, but no mention of apprenticeships. We feel failed by government as we are all working as fully trained staff stuck on apprentice wages as we are unable to obtain the qualification.
