Give pregnant women unable to work from home rights to be suspended on full pay

Closed 85 signatures

What the petition asks

I want the Government to give pregnant women who cannot work from home the right to be suspended on full pay. There needs to be new protection for pregnant women put into place immediately. It is vital that pregnant women and their unborn babies are being protected across the country.
Throughout this pandemic, there’s not been enough protection for pregnant women as a whole. Those who are high risk are still being made to work, not knowing the effects contracting COVID-19 could have on themselves and their unborn babies. They’re being made to put their babies lives at risk. There is currently not enough evidence to show that there are not serious consequences if a pregnant women was to become severely ill with COVID-19. We need to be protected, and so do our babies.
