Year 11's to sit their English/ science/ maths GCSE's.

Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

This allows students the option to takes their GCSE's whilst being given the option to have calculated grades.
This would allow students to end-up with accurate and reliable grades they both need and want. Simply giving teachers the responsibility to determine the quality of young peoples lives is unfair! These you students have been through enough this Academic year and not having this option would cause chaos and bad mental health in 100's of thousands of young people in the UK. Having teacher assessed grades failed in 2020, what makes 2021 any different?

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

It's not clear if you want all students to be required to sit GCSE exams for English, Science and Maths, to be given the choice to sit these exams, and if they do sit them how you want grades to be set.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
