Allow people in the UK to go fishing during lockdown

What the petition asks
During this terrible time with COVID-19 and the new lockdown we want the government to allow people in England and the UK to go fishing
Fishing is the most social distanced sport there is, as long as people keep there distance from each other, allow anglers to only fish locally, fishing has an impact on mental health and can reduce stress levels and relaxes the both improving people’s well-being and mental health, and during this difficult time, people find fishing as a way to escape life troubles and it would be great if we can keep doing what we love during this difficult time, and make sure anglers obey the guidelines.
Why it was rejected
The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.
Under the national lockdown effective from January 6th, angling and fishing are still permitted activities, as long as wider guidance on social distancing and household mixing is adhered to. See Sport England's website for more information:
