Allow angling to commence during lockdown, no match fishing but pleasure angling

What the petition asks
I want government and Parliament to allow angling as an individual sport to allow to continue during lockdown this will allow fishing tackle shops and suppliers to continue to open and offer the click and collect service.
By allowing angling to continue as in previous lockdowns, not only does it support the economic recovery, but will help with mental health and well-being angling as a whole is a solitary sport and is naturally social distanced, I am not asking for competition angling to commence.
Why it was rejected
The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.
Under the national lockdown effective from January 6th, angling and fishing are still permitted activities, as long as wider guidance on social distancing and household mixing is adhered to. See Sport England's website for more information:
