KEEP NURSERIES OPEN. Recognise them as frontline workers. They need THE vaccine.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

I am degree educated and have 20+yrs experience in this industry. Nurseries need to stay open so that people can continue to earn a living, working from home. They cannot do so with preschoolers there too. Recognise that EY Practitioners are frontline workers and prioritise them for the vaccine.
If nurseries close, many will have to fold causing numerous more job losses and apprenticeship terminations in all job sectors!
It is impossible for parents to work from home with a preschooler (of any age). “An individual’s personality is formed by the end of early childhood”as concluded by most childhood theorists. Preschoolers need consistency and the opportunities to give them the tools to succeed in later life - EY practitioners give them this! Recognise what we do. Help us help our nation!

Why it was rejected

The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.
