What the petition asks
I want the government to allow fishing during these hard times as your sat on your own on the bank fishing unlike shops where there's hundreds of people transmitting the virus fishing will help to protect the NHS
Fishing is used as a way for many people who suffer from mental health to get away from reality and troubles they go through on a day to day basis and keeping us locked away won't help it

The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.
Under the national lockdown effective from January 6th, angling and fishing are still permitted activities, as long as wider guidance on social distancing and household mixing is adhered to. See Sport England's website for more information:
