What the petition asks

The government have continued the furlough worker support scheme through to March, but it does not include those who have just changed jobs or are due to start a new job in the very near future. This needs to be changed to include these people.

If an employee started working in October just after the cut-off date, they are now in January having worked for months but still not eligible for furlough. It only makes sense that, if the scheme has been extended, then so should the eligibility for it.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
