Allow outdoor tennis to be played with appropriate safety measures

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

The Government need to allow outdoor tennis courts to remain open throughout the current lockdown, and during any subsequent restrictions. Tennis has been proven throughout the previous lockdown and various restrictions to allow players to play, stay physically, socially and emotionally healthy.
The Government are treating all sports and physical activity as one group, rather than looking at the individual merits of each one. They need to look at the unique rules and structure of how tennis allows players to socially distance, while getting all the benefits sport and physical activity has to offer. This is the Government's opportunity to reverse the trend in a rise is obesity, mental health illness by starting with allowing outdoor tennis to resume.
