Fund organic food production to reduce cost
Closed

What the petition asks
Organic food is more expensive than non-organic food. This means that only richer people can afford to eat healthy organic food. In order to increase health and sustainable practices the Government should make organic food cheaper.
Non-organics use pesticides which are environmental pollutants, use fertilizers (polluting water systems) and degrade top soil.
Agroecology and organic food production do the opposite.
The Government should increase funding for organic food production, so that this becomes cheaper than non-organics, and more accessible to all irrespective of income.
