Cancel or make suitable adjustments to the 2022 GCSEs.

Rejected 16 signatures

What the petition asks

I believe that there are two options:

• The 2022 GCSEs should be cancelled.
• Suitable adjustments should be made to the exams to ensure that students are sitting a fair test. For example, some topics could be removed.
The current year 10 students missed half of year 9, are now missing 1/6 of year 10 + isolation and there is no guarantee of how things will be in future.

While at home, students couldn’t cover as much content as they would have been able to in a classroom.

Some students did not have and still don’t access to online learning as recently pointed out by the government themselves.

Not all students have had live lessons.

We should not be punished for something that’s out of our control.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

You may wish to sign this petition which calls for the same action: Cancel A-level and GCSE exams 2022

Exam arrangements and the current coronavirus pandemic can cause worry and stress. You can find information on how to deal with stress here:
