What the petition asks

Student airline pilots should be given access to a Government funding solution of to cover their flight school training costs, often totalling £100,000. This could be a low-interest student loan or bursary.

There are no reasonable financial solutions available to student pilots to help fund their training. Currently the only options available to many people are to remortgage their house or get a loan from a bank with an exceptionally high interest rate. It is essential in order to meet the demand for new pilots in the coming years that an affordable funding solution like a student loan should be given to student pilots to allow more individuals to be able to access this career and not be in large amounts of high interest debt.
