Instruct kent council to remove HGV lay-by ban! Across the county.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

We need the government to step in and overturn kent council decision to ban any heavy good vehicles from using lay-bys! They have banned them 24/7.

Truck driver need places to pull over that is safe and sometimes quickly aka such as a lay-by. To ban them from them 24/7 is competely wrong.
BY law Uk truck drivers are required to take breaks from driving without it you have a lot of tired truck drivers which is dangerous.
They have listed 10 truck stops/services where we can stop! this will not work as services and truck stops are already over flowing often onto the motorway slip road!
A truck may need stop just as much if not more then a car driver for number of reasons, by putting these rules in place kent council is encouring truckers to break driving laws for what reason?
