What the petition asks

I want Gavin Williamson to enforce the international boards to comply with ofqual and use teacher assessed grades.

We need to cancel international GCSEs because it is important to keep consistency across all boards. State schools and private schools have both lost teaching time.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Decisions about courses and assessments that are delivered by independent educational institutions, as opposed to state schools, are a matter for individual exam boards and educational institutions, not the Government or House of Commons.

We could accept a petition calling for the Government to prohibit any exams from taking place during the Covid-19 outbreak, if that is something you want to happen.
