Overturn the Recent Approval of Bee-Killing Thiamethoxam Insecticides

Rejected 15 signatures

What the petition asks

The government joined an EU-wide ban on Thiamethoxam insecticides two years ago, and pledged to uphold its stance. Recently a regressive approval has been passed to allow their use. Studies prove they seriously inhibit pollinator larvae development, weaken their immune systems, and prevent flying.
This is a regressive policy which is a complete u-turn on a pledge made two years ago. These insecticides have been shown to have a direct and undeniable correlation with the decimating decline in pollinator populations in the UK.
