What the petition asks
Ensure that early years key workers are among the first to be vaccinated against COVID-19 as they continue working with a large groups of adults and children despite the current circumstances. Vaccinate early years key workers with Risk Group 2, as they should also be considered social care workers.
Nursery practitioners are still working to ensure that children are safe and happy in these trying times, despite the difficulties cropping up due to COVID-19. Many of these key workers are part of families with particularly vulnerable members, and many are somewhat vulnerable themselves. To ensure their and the children under their care's safety, vaccinating these key workers should be made a priority. They need to be vaccinated continue working with large groups of children without risk.
