Petition · past parliament
introduce a curfew as part of the lockdown

What the petition asks
introduce a curfew at night to reduce the unnecessary travelling.
Reducing the travel will help reduce the transmission of Covid 19. A curfew will help to stop the unnecessary travel of people trying to breach any guidance and to stop people using exercise as an excuse to socialise. The introduction of a curfew will help to reduce the pressure on the NHS, the NHS staff have to make decisions based on the probability of survival along with managing the overloaded wards and already stretched supplies. We all need to remember they are only human and have a breaking point.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you want the Government to introduce a curfew, but it's not clear if this would just apply to people exercising, or all travel, or if you want some or all businesses to be required to close after a certain time.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
