Extend courses at Drama schools without extra fees due to lost time from COVID
Rejected

What the petition asks
I am asking for drama schools to have to extend courses (which are currently running) after coronavirus and social distancing has finished. This would be without extra fees, as online learning does NOT prepare or train actors for a working environment.
Allow drama schools to continue our course after lockdowns and post COVID without extra charges. Potentially even postponing future class auditions and finish our teaching, students who have already paid, until our training is complete to the standard we were expecting and signed up for. Please note my school charge £11k a year and we are certainly not getting the full potential of this.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Decisions about extending courses or providing additional free education as a result of disruption caused by Covid-19 is a matter for individual schools, not the Government or House of Commons.
If you are unhappy with the arrangements your school has put in place during the pandemic you should complain directly to your school.
We could accept a petition calling on the Government to reimburse students for all fees for schools such as drama schools, where teaching has been particularly affected by the Covid-19 outbreak, if that's something you want to happen.
