What the petition asks
Currently living out in Cyprus. Post is a vital part of everyday life and for some it is essential to keep in contact with those at home.
Since the UK left EU on the 1st January 2020. We have been subjected to cypriot tax despite living on a UK air base and the post arriving through BFPO.

We would like for this tax to be abolished as in some cases we are paying tax twice. As UK companies refuse to remove the UK tax as our address is classed as being in the UK.
We are already penalised on certain things living out in Cyprus, like higher cost of living etc. But this is just unnecessary.

Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. This would be a matter for the Cypriot authorities.
You could start a petition calling for the MOD to refund any local tax paid by people serving overseas, if that's what you'd like to see happen.
