What the petition asks
Thank the NHS nurses who have done such an amazing job throughout this crisis by not having to pay their annual registration fee of £120. This is required to enable them to do their job and is a large sum which can cause hardship. This is more tangible than a clap.
This fee is a compulsory payment that is paid yearly. It causes worry and hardship to a lot of nurses when it is due. This would be a tangible thank you.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
You may wish to sign this petition calling for a similar action: Reimburse all NHS nurses for their annual registration fees
The professional fees for nurses are set by the professional bodies for nurses, not the Government or House of Commons, but the above petition calls on the Government to reimburse nurses for the cost of these fees.
