What the petition asks

Stop Chartwells receiving our public money in replacement of food vouchers. The quality of food parcels are absolutely dyer! Children are going hungry in this third lockdown because parents are not receiving support for their children’s food needs! And in some cases getting no food support at all.

Provide food vouchers directly to parents in need! In this third lockdown.

Why it was rejected

The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.

The national voucher scheme to provide meals to children eligible for free school meals during lockdown reopened on Monday 18th January. Schools are able to claim back support provided through lunch parcels or locally arranged vouchers since 4th January from the Department for Education.
