What the petition asks
After receiving a transplant, patients have to take anti rejection drugs for the rest of their life. Without these they would reject the transplanted organ which could result in death or additional cost to the NHS. another. It is not a choice for transplant patients to take it, it is a must.
People with conditions such as thyroid disease or diabetes get their prescriptions for free because without them their condition may get worse for them. Without medications after transplant the body will reject the transplant. Imagine receiving the gift of life but then not being able to pay for the vital medications. It’s no ones fault when an organ fails, no one should have to pay.
