What the petition asks
I am calling on the government to make the use of automated software to purchase limited items such as video game consoles illegal in the UK.
Every major games console release, some people are using automated software to purchase multiple consoles. These people are then selling them for inflated prices on 3rd party websites such as eBay, taking advantage of poorer families who just want to make their kids happy and taking advantage of times like Christmas.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
You may wish to sign this petition which calls for the same action: Prevent/deter the buying and reselling of goods/services at inflated prices.
