What the petition asks

Make it the law to wear a mask in side supermarkets.
Make Proof of exemption by a doctor must be shown if no mask is warn.
Behind the NHS the supermarkets are also front line workers, workers are starting to feel scared from the lack of social distancing and attitudes towards the rules from the public.
People are treating supermarkets as a day out, so one person per trolley must be enforced and made law.
Action must be taken to protect these people and save the nhs.

Why it was rejected

The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.

It is already the law for people to wear face masks in supermarkets. You can find out more here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/face-coverings-when-to-wear-one-and-how-to-make-your-own/face-coverings-when-to-wear-one-and-how-to-make-your-own

The enforcement of the law is the responsibility of the police.
