Make it mandatory for the Prime Minister to answer truthfully during PMQs
Rejected
11 signatures
What the petition asks
The way in which the Prime minister avoids answering direct questions and lies show disrespect for his office, the House and for the citizens of the United Kingdom
PMQs has become a farce - it shows Parliament in a poor light and makes young people less likely to vote
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We understand that you want to see changes to how MPs can challenge statements by other MPs including the Prime Minister, but it's not clear exactly how you want this to be achieved.
MPs can already challenge statements made by other MPs, and it is not the case that any minister or MP is at liberty to lie to the House of Commons with impunity.
