What the petition asks

Give a caste iron guarantee that schools will re-open as a priority on a specific date by prioritising the vaccination of teachers and re-opening schools in preference to other places such as businesses.

Our education is this country’s future. It is slowly being destroyed and we cannot get this time back.

Our mental health is suffering and online teaching is putting a huge strain on teachers.

Many children cannot engage in online teaching and we are all missing the social support of being at school. Prioritise teacher vaccinations so they feel safe to return to school. The Government needs to prioritise our education by promising to re-open our schools on a guaranteed date.

Why it was rejected

The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.

The Government has confirmed that all children and students will return to face-to-face education in schools and colleges from 8 March.
