Recognition of the commitment by working parents towards enforced home schooling
Rejected
18 signatures
What the petition asks
To recognise the effort and commitment undertaken by working parents during this period of enforced home schooling. Either with an accreditation from the National Union of Teachers (NUT), a commendation within the 2021 Queens honours list or some form of financial remuneration from the government.
This situation has been dropped without discussion on parents who have no experience in teaching children, especially at primary school age, where keeping a child focused takes every ounce of effort whilst trying keep working to pay the bills. Every other industry seems to have received some form of compensation for business disruption.
