Stop Veterinary Practices charging extortionate fees

What the petition asks
I would like vets to be governed so they can’t charge astronomical fees.
The reason so many animals suffer and are abandoned is down to the heavy vet fees that people feel that they cannot take their pets to the vets.
Everyone is entitled to own an animal and it’s unfair on the animals that the simplest of treatments costs £££’s.
The pet insurance companies are also unfair and injust that they don’t pay and find loopholes not to pay.
We could really make a change to many animals lives if there was regulations in place

Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for setting vet fees. This is a matter for individual veterinary practices.
