To put more money into bettering people's mental health

Rejected 16 signatures

What the petition asks

So many people need better mental health facilities, and there needs to be more funding towards this. There should be better training, or rather there needs to be more training for people in the job.
We all want the Government/Parliament to put mental health as a priority because personally I have had an array of counsellors which have not given me what I need/ the therapy and strategies to deal with my problems and I know many who struggle to even see one because the waiting lists are so long. The only way currently to see a counsellor straight away is if you go private (expensive) or you try to commit suicide and they send you straight to someone. It should NEVER get to that point where someone has to even try to kill themselves in order to get help because what if someone successfully kills themselves all because the waiting lists were too long and no one knew truly what was going on in their head?
