Keep John Carroll Leisure Centre Open

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

We are calling upon the Government and Nottingham City Council to
halt the closure of John Carroll Leisure Centre and provide proper funding for community facilities in the most deprived parts of the Nottingham.
John Carroll Leisure Centre is the last real community facility available in Radford, Nottingham. For decades it has served as place where children build the confidence they need to succeed and a sporting facility for under-funded schools.

Our Labour City Council has squandered the city's cash on it's failed Robin Hood Energy investment and is forcing the poorest communities in the city to pay the price.

We call on the council to properly invest in the centre and the government to intervene.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
