Increase salaries for EYFS practitioners in independent and public nurseries
Rejected

What the petition asks
Increase the salaries with at least 2,75% for EYFS practitioners including those working in independent nurseries. The government should urgently consider increasing the wages for the people working in that sector as their role has been crucial during the COVID-19 pandemic
EYFS providers remained open and provided F2F services to everyone including the most vulnerable children and families during the most severe times of the coronavirus outbreak. Even that government labelled EYFS as “low risk” it does not mean “No risk” environment. Staff have worked tirelessly to protect and help their communities, however no praise and acknowledgment had been given to those people who’s role was crucial and had significant impact on the smooth function life amid pandemic.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The Government are not responsible for setting salaries in the private/independent sector.
