Immediately classify gyms as essential businesses and allow them to open

What the petition asks

If we the public are still able to go to the shops to buy no essential items, then it is absolutly farcical that we cannot treat our mental and physical health at recognised gyms.

We request the immediate classification of "essential" to all gyms and exercise outlets.

The impact on not being able to adequately train, is having a damning effect on mental health across the uk.

Also it is widely accepted that one of the best ways for the body to combat Covid is by being physically fit.

In winter, training outdoors is not always possible and the need is obvious for access to proper facilities.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

Keep gyms and leisure facilities open during any lockdown
