Removal of HMO "article 4" direction from London Boroughs
Rejected
14 signatures
What the petition asks
HMO article 4 direction in the London Boroughs had detrimentally affected the single people trying to accommodate and work in London. This includes the people coming from other parts of the UK along with the existing young people living in London, trying to climb up the ladder of success.
People in the UK and around the world are attracted to London as a city of opportunity. Currently,44.1% of London's adult population classify themselves as single who struggle to find affordable single accommodation due to the shortage of available HMO accommodation (house share). Some London Boroughs have taken away HMO conversion from C3 to C4 by implementing Article4 which has further worsened. With the Covid1, people are in serious need of such property to isolate and to work from home
