Allow all pupils to repeat the current academic year

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

All pupils in the UK should repeat their current academic year to allow a fair progression that is equal for all.

This is an unprecedented time for everyone, including our leaders. As a parent, I do not think they know what is best for our children. We need to be responsible & ask for more help.
Every parent has a personal story relating to their situation & the majority are fearful & stressed about whether their child has learnt enough to keep moving forward. My son who has ASD started reception the year the pandemic began. He will go in to year 2 this September & I feel so strongly that he has not had enough time; not just academically but also emotionally.

Parents are struggling to home school & we must consider the mental health of everyone moving forward & do what is right.
