Children offered the chance to retake the current year

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

I’d like the government to consider the opportunity for all children to retake their current year at school. Come March children have missed a full academic year at school.
The children of today are the adults of tomorrow and they seem to have been forgotten. Not only have the children missed essential education they have also missed life experience opportunities such as becoming a (mentor in year 6) school trips, viewing a primary or secondary school, being able to transition or simply not being able to perform in a school play. These have had a metal impact on many children in different ways which won’t end when covid settles.
