What the petition asks
To introduce a new voting system that allows parties to have a proportional say in government depending on how many votes they get. For example if a party gets 41% of votes they have 41% of the say within goverment.
The current system is outdated and promotes a 2 party dominance. In the current system only the party with the most votes wins even if that's not what most people want. This system would allow smaller parties to have a say and ensure no votes were wasted
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
