What the petition asks
Please petition the Chancellor of the Exchequer before his March budget!
Drivers in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales received grants of £1500-£2000 in ADDITION to the self employed grant /SEISS. Those in England have not! There should be fairness across the U.K. nations!
Drivers in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales received grants of £1500-£2000 in ADDITION to the self employed grant /SEISS. Those in England have not! There should be fairness across the U.K. nations!
This will help stop drivers from falling behind on their vehicle payments, having to cancel insurance etc. Most drivers are currently only earning enough to cover their outgoings and are seeing no profit from 12 hour shifts. They are also heavily at risk in the pandemic and offer a vital service in the community.
Businesses that have a premises such as a shop or office have received assistant and for Taxi and Private hire drivers their vehicle is their premises!
